Overview: The North of Vietnam is one of the least visited but the most beautiful and interesting areas in Vietnam. On this tour you will visit the Hanoi capital, SaPa, Bac Ha market tour, and Halong bay- is one of the new seven wonders of the world and Ba Be lake and national park.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi On Arrival (-/-/-)

Our guide will meet you at the Noi Bai International airport and escorts you direct to a hotel in the center of Hanoi. Check in hotel. Free at leisure & enjoy overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour - Cyclo tour & water puppetry (B/L/D)

Pick up at your hotel and we will start by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and museum. The mausoleum is the last resting place of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's great revolutionist and then visit the One Pillar Pagoda, Built by King Ly Thai To in 1049, the structure has become an important symbol for the Hanoi. After that, we will continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's first University, constructed in 1070.

When you finish your lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. This is the most recent yet probable the largest and un doubltedly the most interesting museums in Hanoi and Vietnam ans. This is worth a through visit, for those who are keen to learn about the multi culturality of Vietnam and for those who would appreciate some green space. The we will visit stop at Sword Lake to visit Ngoc Son Temple and learn more about the lake's legend. Take 1 hour cyclo tour around Old Quarter and 1 hour to see water puppet show. Have dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Babe lake (B/L/D)

Pick-up at your hotel is at 7: 00 am and head for Bac Kan, the province of Ba Be Lakes. During the 5 hour drive, we will make a stop at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Thai Nguyen city. Take a coffee break here if you wish.

We continue our drive, stopping for lunch at a local food stall in Bac Kan town. Our destination is a small village of the Tay minority people situated inside Ba Be National Park. Arrive at our homestay and refresh with a short afternoon walk around the park and even a swim in the nearby lake. Back home for dinner and talk with our very warm and friendly hosts. Learn about this interesting culture and way of life. Then retire to our beds for a delightful sleep in a traditional stilt house.

Day 4: Babe lakes, boating and canoeing (B/L/D)

Wake up with the chirping of birds and sounds of village life. Well rested, take in the moment of natural tranquility away from the stresses of the city. Breakfast then we start to discover the imposing beauty of the area on a local hand-crafted canoe. Glide along the river, through a pretty cave and onto a powerful waterfall. The whole journey offers great natural scenery and photo opportunities. After lunch at a local food stall near the waterfall, we canoe till our hearts' content into Ba Be Lakes and all its majestic. Enjoy great swimming and water fun. Finish the day with a light trek through ethnic minority villages back to our new home. Dinner, followed by a second night's sleep in the traditional stilt home.

Day 5: Babe lake - Bac Ha (B/L/D)

Again, take advantage of the morning's fresh air and village energy. Have breakfast and enjoy a last leisurely walk in the park. Pack up your things then say goodbye to your new friends. Leave the village for Bac Ha. we will make a stop on the way to visit Kermis, a typical local market, in the highlands area. Have lunch on the way. We arrive in Bac Ha, checkin hotel. Dinner on guest's account.

Day 6: Bac Ha Market - Sapa ( B,L,D)

You'll join Sunday Market with local people. Bac Ha is considered one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extrem north Vietnam where thousands of local people in their Traditional attire buy and sell the local products. Dogs, cats, pigs,horses... Al all on sales. This is a golden opportunity to take your best photos! This is a great opportunity to interact with the friendly locals and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Leave Bac Ha town for Sapa at 3:00pm. Check in hotel on arrival and overnight in the hotel.

Day 7: Tavan - Giang Ta Chai

Having breakfast and check out before start. Trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Black H'Mong. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the valley to get to Tavan village to visit the Dzay people live, which supposed to be the most friendly one in mountainous area. The next is Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dzao tribe where you see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall. In the afternoon, you come back Sapa, be ready for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 8: Sapa – Than Uyen – Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)
Check out to leave Sapa this morning, we will head to Mu Cang Chai where have beautiful terraced fields that was recognized as heritage of terraced fields. FromSapa town, our car will take us cross Tram Ton Pass where you can enjoy freshestand cool air and nice landscapes. Taking tours to visit villages of Muong Khoa, Muong Kim and Na Kim where you can see very colorfulminority groups. Lunch en route. Arrival in Mu Cang Chai at mid afternoon, we will drive to Kim Noi village, the village of Black Thai people, one family here will be our host today. Leisure time we may take a strolling around this village to see the normal life of villagers. Dinner with family. Overnight at Kim Noi village of Thai people in Mu Cang Chai

Day 9: Mu Cang Chai – Tu Le - Yen Bai (B,L,D)
After having breakfast, we leave Mu Cang Chai for Tu Le - Yen Bai. Having lunch en-route, a town among mountains with many revolutionary relics, beautiful sceneries of Tu Le rice terraces and people, and the calm life which imprint deeply Thai Ethnic Group's culture. Upon arrival check – in hotel. Free at leisure. Have dinner &  overnight in hotel.


Day 10: Yen Bai – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Have breakfast at hotel. Then transfer back to Hanoi, have lunch en route, check in hotel upon arrival. Dinner by your own & overnight in Hanoi.

Day 11: Hanoi - Halong bay (B/L/D)

Have breakfast. 8: 00 am begin our journey to Halong city. After 3.5 hours driving and viewing simple, countryside, rice paddy life, we arrive at the at port. Board the Junk, and start your amazing cruise through this World Heritage Site. Lunch is served on board, a selection of the freshest seafood. We visit "the amazing cave", followed by a swim in the tranquility of Halong Bay and its emerald water. We will cruise further into a quiet area where we will anchor and stay overnight. Dinner and relax as the sun sets. Then you are free to swim in the phosphorous water, retire to your cabin, or fall asleep under the stars amidst the magic of Halong on the top deck.

Day 12: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L/-)

Wake up early in the morning for a great sunrise and a breath of fresh ocean air. Breakfast served on boat then we do a leisurely cruise through thousands of seemingly never ending islands. These are great opportunities to capture some amazing photographs. We stop to visit a floating fishing village and listen to some legendary stories of the fisherman's daily life. Take one last swim somewhere in the middle of the bay to refresh before cruising back to the Halong city pier. Brunch is served while cruising back to the harbor. Pick up and transfer back to Hanoi. Free on your own. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 13: Hanoi Departure

Have breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight home. Finish wonderful trip in north of Vietnam.
